Hey Social Media Managers, You Okay?
HighEdWeb Annual Conference 2022
Session Description
Over the last ten years, the number of social media manager positions has nearly doubled, according to LinkedIn. But are social media managers doing OK? Since the COVID-19 pandemic, social media usage has increased globally, including increased attention by our campus communities and growing expectations from institutional leaders.
The great resignation has digital communication pros leaving the field due to high burnout and low pay, but what about those who stay behind? Social media managers need permission and a place for renewal. There continues to be a heaviness in the industry, so we will address some of that darkness and experience empowerment and release to call in light and even love.
