Everything you need to increase your confidence and get creating.

This is your one-stop-shop for digital leadership resources.

Here you can find links to my blog, podcast, and online training as well as a curated and extensive reference list of the social media- and technology-related organizations, books, and publications that I find the most helpful in my own research. I’ve also crowdsourced a number of directories, such as Higher Ed professionals on Instagram or Campuses with a TikTok account, so that you can easily peruse the digital footprint of other online leaders for ideas and inspiration.

Higher Ed Social Media Directories

College and University TikTok Directory

I love to explore how the field of higher education is using social media. I specifically explored TikTok in an article, TikTok is Going to College.

It has been widely shared, so I created this form to crowdsource a list of Colleges/Universities that have a presence on TikTok AND include advice and goals, so other higher ed marketers could learn from eachother.

Higher Education Professionals Instagram Directory

I’ve worked in higher education since 2003, around the same time social media platforms were born. I logged on early to platforms like Twitter and Facebook, open to connecting with friends but also colleagues across the country.

My online connections with my higher ed connections have turned into strong, loyal, and very real relationships IRL.

Instagram Hashtags for Higher Ed Pros

So what’s the real deal with hashtags Instagram? Are the same hashtags being used to build community on Twitter the same for Instagram? Do they serve the same purpose? Instagram’s new feature where you can “follow” specific hashtags and anything posted with that hashtag shows up on your timeline just like a user’s account. This means that there is a lot of room for community building on Instagram.   What if higher education professionals began to use Instagram hashtags like we really did in the early days of Twitter…to find and support each other!

Less than a year later, the Pew Research Center is reporting in ...

Even years ago I noticed that vice presidents, especially in student affairs, that were tweeting, blogging and integrating Twitter ...

20 Higher Education Presidents to Follow on Instagram

Why Higher Education Presidents Should Be on Instagram Last month, I updated my list of Higher Education Presidents to follow on Twitter. One of the major things I noticed while compiling that list was how powerful photo and video tweets were in telling a community’s story. College presidents are outpacing executives in their use of ...
