Announcing Josie and the Podcast: Season 2

Announcing Josie and the Podcast Season 2
Fall is here and it’s bringing colder weather (a low, low 80 degrees here in California), pumpkin spice everything, and a new season of Josie and the Podcast! Yes, you read that right. Josie and the Podcast is back for season TWO!
It may be a new season of the podcast, but the heart and soul remain the same. My goal is to connect technology and leadership in higher education at all levels, from undergraduate students to university presidents. Last season included conversations with motivational speakers, YouTube content creators and a variety of student affairs professionals, just to name a few.
“But wait,” you say, “My podcast feed has been full of podcast episodes the last six weeks!” That’s true, I took panel recordings from my graduate course at Florida State University Technology in Higher Ed and released them on the podcast for all to learn from. Catch those six episodes now through a bonus series called “Classroom Edition.”

What’s Next for the Podcast

After all the amazing panels featured in my classroom series, I’m excited to get back to the one-on-one conversations I get to have with brilliant folks. Here’s a quick sneak peek of the guests you’ll hear from in the first three episodes:

Walter M. Kimbrough: President of Dillard University

Karen Freberg: Associate Professor of Strategic Communication at University of Louisville

Vernon A. Wall: Author, Lecturer, and Consultant

I’d also thrilled to announce the season two sponsor Campus Sonar— a specialized social listening agency that analyzes online conversations to provide colleges and universities with actionable insight to engage students, build brand awareness, and expand alumni engagement. Founding Director Dr. Liz Gross is a fellow higher education researcher and a thought leader focused on connecting tech and leadership in education. For more information, visit campussonar.com.

My blog and podcast have been recognized by EdTech Magazine, Inside Higher Ed and the Chronicle of Higher Education. My book, Digital Leadership in Higher Education, was published in 2020 and was listed as a #1 new release for college and university student life. I have been growing my consultancy since 2013 and am based in Los Angeles.
