The companion to the Student Social Media Academy:

Cidnye Weimer // Social Media as a Grad Student, #LadyBoss Shoutouts and Thriving in the Job Search

There have been lots of research and discussion on how college students use social media – but what about graduate students? In this episode, I featured Cidnye Weimer a second-year graduate student in the College Student Personnel program at Ohio University. She adds another level to the to the graduate students on social, considering she is in the middle of a job search. She shares how she shifted social media usage from undergrad into her master’s program, how she uses social tools in her job search and advice for other grads/job seekers. In light of women’s history month, we also recognize the #LadyBosses that shaped her journey. Finally, Cidnye shares about the Digital Leadership Network, a collaborative group of educational professionals exploring leadership and technology.
