Coaching the C-Suite:

Helping your campus executives share their voices and values online

HighEdWeb Annual Conference 2022

Session Description

Social media and digital communications allow universities to reach audiences in critical ways and make immediate impacts. Presidents, vice-presidents and deans who are active online create opportunities to tell their university’s stories in a personal, engaging and relatable way. They can also amplify the messages they deliver at the annual state of the university conferences or in rushed commencement speeches. In this session, you’ll learn from a campus communicator, a university chancellor and a digital leadership coach about the ways campus communication professionals can guide their executives to develop their technical skills and their personal social media strategy to share their voice, their values and their vision with their entire digital community. You’ll leave with:

  • Practical guidance and immediately-applicable resources from executive coach Dr. Josie Ahlquist.
  • Relatable guidance from Rachel Rodemann Putman, associate director of strategic communications at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.
  • First-hand executive experience from Dr. Terisa Riley, chancellor at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.

You’ll also learn how they each work with campus leaders to build trust, create community and amplify the institutions brand.
