It's Dr. Josie Live! A fun-sized Facebook Live series

Dr. Josie Live Header
When I first started this blog, it was a six-week experiment to document my journey daily through my doctoral program and moving into my digital leadership education efforts. Little did I know that while my experiment may have “ended,” the blogging definitely wasn’t going to stop. Now, I didn’t keep up the daily posts, but there are still 21 pages of blog archives for your reading pleasure!
In August 2016, I took a small break from my blogging efforts to launch a brand new podcast. While I loved sharing my thoughts and opinions in the blog, I saw so many brilliant folks around me who did work that I totally geeked out about. I wanted to share the kind of conversations that inspired me on a much bigger scale. After a Twitter poll and a quick dusting off of my professional mic, Josie and the Podcast was born! We’re now in season two of the podcast, and I can’t believe how many incredible guests I’ve gotten to speak with. Confession: I’ve definitely fallen in love with podcasting.
You might be sensing a pattern here. I’m always curious about new ways to spread the digital leadership love, and this year brings a brand new way to connect technology and higher education: Facebook Live Video!
SO….On Tuesday, January 30th at 3 PM EST, I’m going live. The live stream will be short and sweet, but full of substance. I’ll be broadcasting for about 20-30 minutes, where I’ll be asking for some interaction, banter and even ask for feedback.
As far as the substance, in this first video, I’ll be digging into LinkedIn. Not the pressure to finally get an account or update your job status, but REALLY what employers are looking for, what you should really be focused on the platform and what I’m digging that LinkedIn has started to include on the platform.
I’m committing to livestream every Tuesday for the next six weeks, so if this week doesn’t work for you, all good! Jump on any Tuesday through March 6th. If you accidentally miss an episode, don’t worry! You can catch all of my previous broadcasts on my Facebook page. To make sure you don’t miss a single episode of Dr. Josie Live, make sure you like, follow, and turn on notifications for my Facebook page.
I will update this page after each broadcast, so you can easily find all the replays in one place!

Digital Leadership Grew Up. Now What?

In July of 2014, I published my first list of higher education presidents to follow. I had been studying campus leaders and social media for about a year. Almost no research existed yet. There were no best practices, no playbook, no one telling a chancellor it was okay to be authentic online. So I started ...

Summertime Reset: A Digital Leadership Check-In Before Fall

For leaders, it’s also an ideal time to reexamine communications practices. How do you connect with your campus community? With your ...
